“I needed to talk to another wife, someone who understood what
I was going through. I didn’t feel like there were many resources that
would help in the way that I was looking for. There were tons of materials
out there about brain injuries, what to expect, and even from the point
of view of the person that is injured, but nothing to help me cope with
the emotions I was feeling. There was nothing to help me know whether
what I was feeling was normal and what to do about it. I wanted to know
how someone else got through their difficult circumstance. So I wrote this
book specifically for other spouses from the point of view of a spouse of
someone with a traumatic brain injury.”

Casey’s life was turned upside down when her husband was in a
four wheeler accident, which resulted in a traumatic brain injury. She
didn’t know if he was going to live or what kind of life he would live
if he survived. She had to learn to adjust to a new reality. She didn’t
know how to handle such a tragedy, but through God’s strength, she
journeyed through.

The person in the accident isn’t the only one that suffers. This is the
story of how she made that journey.
